Came here with my parents for a nice birthday dinner. We were not disappointed. The staff are very friendly and attentive, the food was plentiful and delicious. I simply couldn't ask for more. This place is a treasure.
A little out of the way but it's site and food more than make up for that.It gets very busy in the summer, having mooring for canal boats and prepared areas for caravans. During the other seasons it is less busy.The food was hot, well presented, very tasty and plentiful. There is a large and varied menu which includes hot and cold food. The prices are average for the type of meals, averaging at about 10.00 per person.
A perfect English roast dinner, with local meats. I love the roast lamb! We travel 130 miles to eat here! Although we also visit family whilst in the area. A must-visit place to eat the perfect traditional roast. I love the canal setting too.
Excellent setting, food and friendly, efficient staff. Had a Christmas meal there and I don't know how they cater for such large numbers and provide consistently delicious food that was hot and quickly served - faultless. Highly recommend. Thank you all!
Great country pub. Friendly and efficient staff. Fantastic T bone steaks. Perhaps not the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for! Excellent quality....
