Had a very good meal. Excellent service as usual.
We decided after a long day that we wanted to order some take out. Ordering was completely fine, but our delivery driver was horrendous. He called up my fiance an hour after we ordered, yelled, "can't find you, wrong address," and hung up. We called up the restaurant to figure out what was going on just to find out that our driver doesn't carry a phone on him (??), and they confirmed our address. An additional 30 minutes goes by (we live about five minutes from city centre) before our driver shows up and when he does, he says in a rather harsh tone, "YOU gave me the wrong address," and throws the food in my hands before storming off. Not a hello. Not a, "sorry got mixed up." I've had rude drivers before, so I didn't think too much of it - that was until I opened this bag of food. We received two items that we actually ordered. In fact, I don't think I could quantify two full items being present because they didn't come with rice, which yes - was ordered and paid for. Instead of getting plum chicken, spring rolls, satay skewers, and salt & pepper beef we got sweet & sour chicken, cold crispy beef, and some watered down msg paste on chicken. Naturally we call up, ask if there is any way we can just swing by and pick up what we're missing or possibly get a refund. The ladies had been respectful since the beginning and we didn't have a problem with them whatsoever. We show up with the order, chat for a bit, and are about to leave when the delivery driver walks in, stares us down, and gets downright cantankerous. He started yelling at us about giving him, "the wrong address," and that he had said sorry when I answered the door. I said that if he had said sorry I wouldn't be there asking for a refund to which he annoyingly snarked, "I'm not going to let you make ME out to be a liar." I feel so bad for the girls working with him because the air around them was abhorrent and they seemed to be genuinely uncomfortable. Customer service isn't for everyone and it certainly isn't for someone as acrimonious as he. I hope something comes of this because even though we don't plan on supporting this business anymore we hope that no one else has to be put through a similar situation.
Ordered from here couple days ago, service is great staff are friendly and lovely. Food was a bit disappointing though, the salt and pepper chicken wings were soggy not crispy, I ask for a pork chow mein with duck in, with the sauce. In the chow mein there was hard horrible smelling potato pieces, mushrooms, broccoli, cabbage, it was awful, I wanted a chow mein not a Sunday dinner. The sooner they remove that from their food the better, other than that the chow mein itself was nice after I spent 15 minutes picking the nasty bits out.
Lovely Chinese! Not a bad price either
Delivery was second to none, prawn crackers were sound everything else was well below average, special chowmein was not special, curry was congealed ,chicken had too much gristle, salt and pepper chicken was hard and dry. Singapore vermicelli tastless and dry ,pork Cantonese style sweet and sour pork seemed to have forgot the sweet. Pork balls was more like marinated in vinegar. Chips were like yesterday's reheated .diet coke 10 out of 10 I knew it wouldn't be good due to delivery time, we won't be using them again. Eric
