Rough paths and grassy walks, wind around a sequence of landscaped ponds, a large house, kitchen gardens and a very unique tea room. The planting and landscaping are very good with water features with bridges and paths set in trees and plants that flower almost all year. The Magnolia walk, from about April to May, is impressive.. Plenty of swans, geese, ducks and even trout can sometimes be seen in the ponds.Easily able to spend 3 hours here but usually longer. No specific children's playground but plenty of grassy areas to have a picnic and they should be enthralled by the cafe interior.Look out for the bulbs & magnolia walk in spring, and the HUGE Gunnera in summer.
Beautiful extensive gardens and super lunch in the gorgeous cafe too.
Well worth a visit. Some very picturesque parts and lovely and tranquil.
Great gardens, lots of variety. Very nice walk to the end of the lakes.Food is very tasty.Well worth a look. Cheap on the plant fayre days although parking can be a bit tricky unless you get there reasonably early.
My wife and I go to the plant fair she loves plants and also its cheaper to go in the gardens which are fantastic to walk around . we sit by the lake and have a picnic. We take the grandchildren as well they enjoy the walks. Nice restaurant good food . Shame its dear to go at other times.
