5 stars just isnt enough! Richard has all the genuine qualities you can ask for when purchasing individualise items for your forever home. I seriously wouldnt go anywhere else for the unique pieces of period ironmongery you may require. Nothing is too much trouble for this gentleman making the customer experience 100%. Not only have I gained beautiful finishing touches to my home but feel like Ive made a friend too. Youd be a fool to go anywhere else than The Period Ironmonger.
Its not easy finding high quality hardware especially on the Internet, theres a bewildering choice. I opted to buy all mine from The Period Ironmonger after speaking to Rich who was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about his business. It was a good decision as each time I returned they remembered me and asked how the project was going. Always helpful and supportive, I wont be going anywhere else.

Last year my wife and I embarked on building a new period style home. Jane and Richard have been so helpful in sourcing the finishing bits to make the project really stand out. They have everything you could need to renovate an existing old property or like us making a new property look old. Everything is made in the UK using the traditional methods they always have been, by excellent craftsmen and women. The door handles, hinges front door knocker, letter plate and pull, the bathroom locks etc have all been in and working for almost a year with no problems. I can't speak highly enough of the service and quality of product The Period Ironmonger has provided for our home an us. I'm always looking to see what else they do that i can fit somewhere! Jayne and Rich are a delight to deal with, their products are high quality and nothing is too much trouble for them. Their attention to detail and speed of response are excellent, second to none. They sourced exactly what I wanted, even when one of the products I wanted wasnt on their website. I have gone back to them regularly and will continue to do so for all my ironmongery needs.
